Pictures from our Vacation to the West, June 25 to July 10, 2000.

We started on Sunday morning. After driving through very heavy rain in Iowa and then in Colorado we arrived in Colorado Springs on Monday afternoon. We went to the Garden of the Gods Tuesday morning. Can you believe this is a city park?

     It looks like it is just sitting there but it is really attached to the rocks below it.

Pikes Peak was visible later in the day thru the clouds
Some days you see rock climbers on these vertical fins.

We went over Monarch Pass (11,000+ feet) of our way to Gunnison, Co to pick up our Daughter.		 Gunnison & Western State College from hills east of town
She went to a church camp at Western State College in Gunnison, Co.
